3D Printing and CAD

Disneyland Space Mountain Train Model

This is a model I designed, 3D printed and painted in 2016. The difficult part about making this model was having a lack of quality reference images. Because the attraction is indoors not a lot of good images exist on the internet of the ride vehicles. After creating this model I visited the park again and noted several details I missed that I wish I could have noted during the design process. Still a fun model that captures the general feel of the trains. The model was designed in Autodesk Inventor.

Custom Light Saber Hilt

This model was inspired from light sabers used the Star Wars movies although is an original design. The model was designed in early 2018 and has the ability to hold a blade as well as all the electronics necessary to allow it to light up. The bottom end of the hilt features slits where another portion of illuminated blade can shine through. I had the intent of 3D printing and painting this model but I never got around to it.

Obi-Wan Kenobi A New Hope Light Saber Hilt

This is a model I modeled and 3D printed based on Obi-Wan Kenobi’s light saber in the movie, Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. The models was designed and printed in late 2015. I used reference photos from the film to make the model in Autodesk Inventor. The model was printed in 13 unique parts and than assembled.

Penny Skateboard Model

This is a model skateboard that I designed from a physical reference during my Computer Aided Design class in my Sophomore year of High School, 2012. Even though I did it relatively early on in High School, the model stills holds up. Not shown in these images is the level of detail I was able to obtain I actually modeled each of the balls in each of the bearings among other things. I went well above the requirements for the project and my teacher at the time still uses this model as an example for the project over six years later.
