K’nex Model Roller Coaster “Swarm”
This model was built over one year and was finished in 2013. This model stands 3’-8” tall and can run up to two five car trains. It features a fully mechanical automated station and a motorized chain lift. The design is based off hybrid wooden roller coasters in the same style as Rocky Mountain Construction’s roller coasters. This model was also featured in on the local news station FOX 17 in West Michigan as well as the YouTube Channel Vsauce2’s video BiDiPi #43, with over 1.5 Million views.
K’nex Model Roller Coaster “Mad Mouse Recreation”
This model was built over the course of about 6 months and was completed in 2014. It is modeled after Arrow Dynamic’s “Mad Mouse” Roller Coaster at Michigan’s Adventure. The model stands four feet tall can can run up to eight cars. The model features a working transfer track system as well as a semi-automated station, motorized chain lift and break run. This model was featured briefly in the Grand Rapids Public Museum in the late summer of 2014.
K’nex Model Roller Coaster “Venom”
This model was built over the course of seven months and was completed in 2012. It stands 3’-5” tall and can run two four car trains. The model is styled after steel looping roller coasters but not based on a specific manufacturer. It features a fully mechanical automated station as well as a motorized chain lift and break run.
K’nex Model Roller Coaster “Paradox”
This model was built over the course of one month and was completed in 2011. The model stands 2’-1” tall and can run one four car train. It is modeled in the style of traditional wooden roller coasters. It features a fully automated station as well as a motorized chain lift. Although this model looks quite small in comparison to the others on this page it was actually the first documented K’nex Roller Coaster model of this scale to feature a fully automated station.
