Scenic Painting

Tree From Michigan Techs Production of Sunday In The Park With George
This painting was done for Michigan Tech’s Production of “Sunday In The Park With George” April 2019. The concept for the show was to have the set be composed of George Seurat’s concept sketches for his famous painting “A Sunday on La Grande Jatte” 1884. I was tasked with painting one of the more prominent trees in the painting along with Amanda Wils. The piece was done on canvas with a combination of paints and charcoal.

Jean-Michel Basquiat’s “Trumpet” Re-creation
This painting is a re-creation of Jean-Michel Basquiat’s painting “Trumpet” from 1984. It was done during my 8th semester of college (Spring 2019) for my Scenic art and Illustration class. This painting was also done with Sawyer Poel. This painting is currently on permanent display on the second floor of the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts on Michigan Tech’s campus near the band room.
Wood Floor Painting Sample
This is a painting sample of a wooden floor. IT was painted as an assignment for a Scenic Art and Illustration class I took during my 8th semester of college (Spring 2019).
Brick Wall Painting Sample
This was a painting I did for my Backstage Technologies class during my second year of college (Spring 2017). From a distance this sample sells the illusion of three dimensional bricks quite well.
